Security and Traffic: Rock Fiesta is taking event security seriously; 15,000' (ft) of fence sur- round both the 18 acre concert area and 115 acre festival area. Rock Fi- esta has 2 separate entrances, one for people driving from Los Angeles Exit 17, and from the east/Phoenix, Exit 19. Printed on the ticket-backs, on the website and on signs enter- ing the festival, patrons are told they may be subject to a quick vehicle search for weapons at entry. Patrons stay in their cars while their tickets are scanned and wristbands secured on the wrist of every person entering the festival site. To gain entrance to the concert area, patrons will be pat- ted down and purses checked every time they re-enter. Rock Fiesta is working with the secu- rity firm Special Assignments Group (SAG) and R & S Events, based in Phoenix. The security force starts with 150 guards (some armed), as the event grows in attendance over the 3 next months, more guards will be added. Security is 24 hours. 25 ATVs and golf carts will be adding to perimeter. Don't be surprised to see a drone or video cameras moni- toring the event. The festival is planning with ADOT and Quail Traffic Control to antici- pate ingress over 2 days. Lighted road message boards and light tow- ers will show the way to Quartzsite starting on Early Entry Day, Thurs- day March 17, intended to relieve the traffic on Friday's first live music day. "Rock Fiesta is not in- terested in people's documentation and it does not have any contact with Border Patrol, our relation- ship with Quartzsite Police and the State Police only focuses on traffic and roads, the Mexican border is nor close to our location" said Hal Davidson Festivaland's Producer. Rock Fiesta is produced by Festi- valand, LLC. As the festival draws closer, the 118 acre Desert Gardens Show Grounds is transforming into a World Class festival site with large scale excava- tion and construction taking place in an effort to build a perfect 15 acre concert area containing; 47.4 tons of production, one huge double Main Stage, 770,000 watts of crown power inside of a state-of-the-art sound and lights array plus 2 LED- sound relay towers.
