Mr. Henry Forest Horne, Sr., age 82, of Shelby, NC passed away on January 9, 2016. A service and cel- ebration of life was held at Eastside Baptist Church, Shelby, NC. A graveside service followed with full military honors at Cleveland Memorial Park. Mr. Horne served our coun- try in the U.S. Army Military Police. He served in the Vietnam War and was awarded the Bronze Star for heroism and the Vietnam Gallantry Cross for valor and heroic conduct while fighting the enemy. He was preceded in death by his parents, Horace Lee Horne and Clara Reid Horne of Shelby, NC; a grandson; and his brother, Wallace Lee Horne, of Shelby, NC.
