Chapter Officers Theta Techsan 7 Sisters were honored to come together for the blessing of the new lodge this August. SPRING SEMESTER RECAP We kicked off the spring semester with our Founder's Day Brunch, hosted by the local alumnae chapter, where we enjoyed celebrating Kappa Alpha Theta's rich history and looking forward to our bright future. We were excited to have a visit from our educational leadership consultant, Madison Cannon, who gave us additional insight about our roles in the chapter. Last year, we sent four representatives from our chapter to Grand Convention and are proud to announce that we were awarded the Golden Kite Award and were named one of the top Theta chapters in the country. 79 NEW SISTERS In August, we participated in formal recruitment and are thrilled to announce that we recruited 79 amazing young women for the 2015 new member class. We look forward to engaging these young women into the many events already planned for the months ahead. Though this year has been eventful, we have much to look forward to in the future. Our newest philanthropy event, PAWS for CASA, invites the Tech community and their dogs for games to raise money for CASA of the South Plains. MEMBERS INVOLVED OUTSIDE OF THETA While we had a busy spring semester and start to the fall semester, we ensure Theta has a remarkable presence on campus. Our members participate in numerous organizations on and off campus, including Student Government Association, President's Select, Mortar Board, Young Life, Rawls College of Business Ambassadors, Tech Students for CASA, Student Alumni Board, and many more. We have also enjoyed participating in Panhellenic Pride Week, Theta Thursday, and many other Greek and Tech events on campus. Our chapter is comprised of remarkable young women who share a commitment to Theta, Texas Tech, and our community, and we should all be proud of our many contributions. I have experienced the benefits of sisterhood this year and could not ask for a better group of women to serve beside. I am so excited about the future and potential of the Gamma Phi Chapter of Kappa Alpha Theta and am honored to be a part of it.
