Indiana Sigma Campaign Update
Chapter Seeks $198,000 to Finish Campaign
I
n 2010, the Indiana Sigma House Corporation
agreed to partner with SAE Financial & Hous-
ing Corporation to build a Chapter house for the
Indiana Sigma Chapter. The house would, in
theory, hold no less than 32 men and have com-
mon space for 80 members. The alumni agreed
to raise $400,000 over a five-year period starting
in 2011, and F&H would finance the remaining
amount. When the budgets were completed, it
became apparent the Chapter house would cost
roughly $2.7 million. In order to cash flow this
project, the occupancy would need to be in-
creased to 40 tenants.
In 2012, the Chapter house was completed to
much fanfare. To date, the alumni have raised
$202,000 of the required $400,000. The remain-
ing $198,000 needs to be raised before August
2016. Many Indiana Sigma alumni have gra-
ciously completed their campaign pledges, and
we are thankful for their generous donations.
However, many pledges are outstanding and
non-performing, and we still need commitments
from brothers who have not yet made pledges in
order to reach the $400,000 campaign goal.
The time is now for Indiana Sigma alumni to
give back to the organization that gave them so
much. Many of you recall fondly your memories
in Sigma Alpha Epsilon and specifically Indiana
Sigma. The friends in your life remain brothers
you met at SAE. Business relationships were
forged while you were an undergraduate mem-
ber without you even realizing how your friend-
ship with these brothers would affect you later
in life.
Indiana Sigma can keep true to our commit-
ment to raise $400,000. I am asking that if you
have an outstanding pledge, please get caught up
and current on your pledge payments. If you've
fulfilled your pledge, please consider increas-
ing your donation toward our beautiful Chapter
house. If you've never given toward the Chapter
house, please take the time to give back.
As someone who benefited from the legacy of
alumni who came before me, I feel it is our turn
to extend that legacy. Join your brothers in en-
suring the lasting impact of the Indiana Sigma
experience on the lives of future brothers.
