A s president, I am proud and honored to represent the women of the Delta Xi Chapter. Our members have excelled in grades, involvement on campus, various leadership roles, and much more. To quote the head of Mizzou's Greek life, Jana Basler, "It is a great time to be a Tri Delta at the University of Missouri." 3.4 GPA IN FALL Delta Xi ranked fifth in grades out of 16 sorority chapters with a GPA of 3.4 for the fall semester. Academics Chairman Hannah Post '13 has been working extremely hard to come up with a mentorship program that will allow younger members to study and get advice from older members in their particular field of study. OVER $92,000 RAISED FOR ST. JUDE If you were to ask any of our members why they are so passionate about Tri Delta, most of them would say because of the work we do for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. Last year, Delta Xi raised over $92,000, and this year we are hoping to reach our goal of $111,000. In late February, over 100 women traveled to the hospital and were able to see firsthand just how much Tri Delta means to the children of St. Jude. It was a humbling experience to be a part of and one we can all say we are so proud to represent. 92 NEW MEMBERS This past fall, Delta Xi welcomed home 92 new members as the 2014 fall pledge class. This is by far the largest pledge class that Delta Xi has ever seen and we expect these numbers to keep increasing as the University of Missouri establishes a strong footing in the SEC. CHAPTER ACTIVITIES Being a large chapter at Mizzou gives Delta Xi many outlets for campus involvement and activities. At Homecoming, Delta Xi was paired with the men of Alpha Epsilon Pi for a magic show. We put in 100% effort and placed in several categories, such as blood, campus decorations, and service. The real win came with the Tiger victory over Vanderbilt at the Homecoming football game on October 25! Delta Xi members pride themselves on being leaders outside the chapter. Bren Smith- Lezama '12 was recently elected to be the MSA vice president of the entire Mizzou student body. Madison Silvey '13 was elected vice president of Executive Women International Collegiate last fall and will be taking the role of president this fall. Thank you to all of our alumnae who have been such great assets to us over the years. You help our chapter grow and flourish, and our active members enjoyed meeting you at the centennial.
