We had 24 dedicated folks come out. The rocks came back to haunt most of us as we made our way around the course shooting somewhat higher than normal scores. That didn't keep us from having a great time. It is always competitive golf, and today was no exception to the rule. We had 3 teams tie today for fi rst place shooting identical scores of 39 which is 17 under par. Our win- ninng teams were Ben Campbell & Bud Key, Russ Leininger & Larry Jensen, and Kent Limb & Jerry Taylor. Fourth place with a score of 40 was the team of Brian Hop- kins & Cletus Winkler. They were closely followed by the team of Brad Romaine & Kit Wilkins who shot a 41. Men's closest to the hole #8 was won by Jerry Taylor. Clos- est to the hole on #9 was Cletus Winkler with a hole in one. Holes in one on #1 were made by Bud Key and Jerry Taylor. Long drive on #13 for men was Russ Leini- nger and for the women was Debi Jensen. The fi nal tournament of the year for Rainbow Acres will be held at 9:00 on Thursday, Febru- ary 19th. Also, it is not too early to be thinking about a partner for the Good Guys/Gals & Bad Guys/Gals tournament to be played the fi rst part of March. The date will be an- nounced later.
