The open house featured displays and large-size maps of the proposed plans for off-road vehicle trails and other uses on public lands in the area in and around Quartzsite. BLM staff were on hand to answer questions and take comments from the public. In an unprecented move, BLM is re-opening the Public Com- ment period. The deadline for comments is February 19th. This is the fourth period for public comment on the La Posa TMP. The deadline for comments is Feb. 19. The BLM is cur- rently considering four plans. Plan "B" offers the fewest route closures, while Plan "D" will see the most. The current plan BLM favors is Plan "C." The Yuma Field Offi ce has the plan maps on CDs. The address is 2555 E. Gila Ride Road, Yuma, Ariz. 85365. Visit www.blm.gov/az/st/en/prog/travel_mgmt/la_posa.html to view the TPT online. For more information, contact Raymond Castro at 928-317-3251.
