I t's my pleasure to report to you on our chapter's successful spring semester and great fall semester. In the spring Gamma Tau achieved a 2.95 chapter GPA, a .33 point increase from fall 2013. We accumulated over 900 community service hours and recruited 25 great new members who joined us this fall. Bob Dotson '68 Recognized at Karnea This summer Nate Goodwin '16, Joseph Bachman '16, Jake Steele '16, Brian Alexander '15 and I were in New Orleans for the 2014 Karnea. While there, one of Gamma Tau's very own, Bob Dotson '68, received an Alumni Achievement Award. The Alumni Achievement Award is presented to a Delt alumnus whose achievements in his field of endeavor have brought honor and prestige to the Fraternity. Brother Dotson is Gamma Tau's fifth alumnus to receive the accolade. Successful Fall Events Tailgates at the Shelter have been a great success, and we have enjoyed meeting alumni. For Homecoming week, the chapter partnered with Kappa Delta. Together we built a parade float and won the mural painting contest, clothing drive, and canned food drive. We've also enjoyed hosting an event for Natural Ties, a student organization devoted to serving Lawrence citizens with developmental disabilities. In late September, we took a trip to Kauffman Stadium to watch American League champions Kansas City Royals take on Detroit. The chapter also enjoyed various events with Alpha Chi Omega, Gamma Phi Beta, and Delta Delta Delta. As we look toward the rest of the semester, brothers are excited for Rock Chalk Revue, the initiation ceremony, and an event with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Lawrence. Fraternally, Tyler Gratton '14 Chapter President (785) 580-6721 president@kansasdelts.org GAMMA TAU SEES IMPROVEMENT IN ACADEMICS Members Enjoy Brotherhood Events and Alumni Involvement
