How can we save Beall's Outlet store in Quartzsite? In April 2015 the ten-year lease on Beall's Outlet (pronounced bells) will expire and the company plans to close the busi- ness. With our demographic of 6 months feast and 6 months famine, it is understandable to big corpora- tions living in their ivory towers that the profi t line is not in the black some of those months – but with a his- tory of sales for all these years you'd save for coverage of the lean months. Oh, right, talking about corpora- tions here…..I digress…..to fi ght for YOUR Beall's in Quartzsite please do the following: Call their main offi ces at 1-800-683-8039 extension 6117 and your store number reference for Quartzsite store is 30570. Just takes a minute and with returning snow- birds who enjoy their Monday senior discounts, it's well worth that minute to save this business in our little spot in the desert. This is an anchor tenant along with Family Dollar and has provided won- derful savings and shopping experi- ences for many over the years. Fight for what you don't want to lose or? We lose. And somewhere out there is a 'landlord' who might want to negoti- ate a better lease for even fi ve more years? To keep a good tenant??? Thank you. Anna Earle Quartzsite RIBBON CUTTING THANKS We would like to thank the Quartzsite Business Chamber of Commerce for the beautiful ribbon cutting ceremony and the Quartzsite Town offi cials for their attendance. TC and Debbie Collier THANKS FOR YOUR SUPPORT I would like to thank all of the people who supported me in my campaign. To the people who voted for the other candidates, I hope to earn your trust and respect by my actions as your elected council member. With help from my fellow council members, we will bring back the pride and respect that Quartzsite residents deserve. This is a wonderful town, a good place to live, and working with this fi ne group of elected offi cials, we should expect great things to be happen- ing in Quartzsite. We will do all we can to make the rest of the state, and the world proud to say we were in Quartzsite and that we will return. I felt so bad about that, but they didn't want me to be stranded and did all this. They are so caring and awesome thank you both for your love. THANK YOU to Dan, a handy man that does all kinds of work. He came and fi nished up the one side of the weeds and stuff at my mobile. Dan you did a very great and so awesome job on the side. THANK YOU to Ms. Linda from Isaiah 58 Project, who came over this week with some food and then gas so I could get to Parker. You are so caring Ms. Linda. I so greatly appreciate your care; it came in perfect as the Salva- tion Army changed the dates for the certifi cates but didn't let me know and they ran out. At least Ms. Linda cared and said a special blessing while she was here. THANK YOU to Johnny and Ray from Best Auto who found the battery problem, couldn't help me out but at least didn't do the call-out charge. Glenda Kae Hines Year-round resident
