Celia's Rainbow Gardens spa- ghetti dinner another big success by Joanne Winer The 19th Annual Celia's Rainbow Gardens Spaghetti Dinner was an- other big success this year, thanks to everyone who came out and enjoyed the meal and stayed for the great entertainment. They sold tickets for 291 dinners, and served 330, which in- cluded volunteers and band members. The fi rst people I will thank are Lois and Don Moore and Sherrie and Rick Garlow from the Quartzsite General Store, who have been helping me order supplies for this dinner for many years, and have always come through for us. You are very special people and we re- ally appreciate all you did for us, espe- cially this year when things were tight. Jerry and Michelle Lukkasson from Main St. Eatery also donated items for the dinner, as they did last year. A special thanks also to the Q.I.A. for hosting this event every year. They not only supplied the venue, many of their volunteers also came and helped with the serving and all the other jobs that were needed to make this work. Those who deserve a big thank you are Howard and Sandy Andreason, John Hendrix and Kathy Gamble, Bob and Linda LaFore, Jerry and Phyllis Page, Pam and Ralph Caskey, Karen Brakos and Bernis Martin, Chuck and Nancy Whitney, Vicki Norman, Danielle Miller, Terry Bashore, Archie Lumbert, and Arlea Long. A special thanks to Richard Trusty (spaghetti cook ex- traordinaire) and Lois Dupre, Anita Carlson, and Tony and Cee Carnevale... all who have been volunteering for this event for many years. Couldn't do it without you!!. The great country music was thanks to Barefoot and Boots band, who have been playing for this event and the party in the park for many years now and are very special to us, and also Paul played some stompin' boogie and blues accompanied by Jerry Mullins, Spaghetti Dinner another success who plays guitar with him on several occasions. Celia has been dead for 20 years, but her legacy of Celia's Rainbow Gardens lives on through all the vol- unteers who help make it what it has become--a place of peace and honor and love, through these fundraisers, or by volunteering to help work in the Gardens. If you have any time and can garden, rake, or help in any way, please contact me at 928-927-6551. The second printed of the Celia's Rain- bow Cookbook has now arrived, and they will go fast during this Christmas season, and am working on Volume 2 and will still include more home reci- pes if anyone wants to send them to me at joannewiner@gmail.com or drop them off at the bookstore or chamber offi ce and I will add them to the ones I have already started on. Makes a great Christmas gift!! Thanks again to everyone who made this fundraiser such a huge success!! and wet many times over as he headed into the Dunk Tank. The Toy Story movie delighted big and small kids and as the day progressed we had full houses for all of the talented musicians that played and sang for us.
