During the regular Quartzsite Council meeting of Oct. 14th, 2014 Town Man- ager Skylor Miller presented an award, on behalf of the Town, to Sergeant Xavier Frausto for twenty years of dedicated and faithful service to the community. Mayor Ed Foster congratulated Sgt. Frausto. The audience gave a standing ovation. Sergeant Frausto said it has been a ride the last twenty years, up and down; but, the main reason he stayed here is because of the people. He said he hopes to continue for more years serving the lovely people of Quartzsite and the Council. Community members and friends of the Fraustos held a celebration party in honor of Sgt. Frausto at the Community Center Monday, Oct. 27th. By Joanne Winer The 18th annual Spaghetti din- ner fundraiser for Celia's Rainbow Gardens will be held at the Q.I.A. on Tuesday, November 18th. The doors will open at 4:30 p.m. and Barefoot and Boots band will start playing for those who want to dance or just sit and listen. The dinner will start being served at 5 p.m. and you will get your tickets at the door as your come in. Paul Winer on piano and Ralph Martin on one string washtub bass will also be playing and they will start about 6 p.m. while the band is tak- ing a break. Be sure to get there early for a seat--they will have two serving lines again this year so the wait will not be long for the food.
