L ambda swept the Hill yet again during fall formal recruitment and we could not be more excited to welcome our newest pledge class of 67 outstanding women. CHAPTER TOPS IN ACADEMICS These young women are joining a bright group! We ended the spring semester with a 3.54 GPA, the highest of any Greek organization on campus. Additionally, Chi Omega was recognized for excellence in academic performance and distinction in membership development and education, risk management and legal liability, leadership and campus engagement, community awareness and chapter management at the spring Greek Awards ceremony. The Greek community as a whole acknowledged past president Margie Carmody '11 for her outstanding leadership to sorority women. Additionally, Grace Tideman '14 was named one of five outstanding new members from the Greek community's freshman class as a whole. PANHELLENIC LEADERS IN PLACE We have benefitted greatly from other exceptional leaders in the past year as well, with two of our members serving on the Panhellenic executive board. Maggie Young '12 and Kaitlyn Carl '12 have represented our chapter and community with great success as Panhellenic president and director of recruitment, respectively. STRONG SHOWING IN EXTRACURRICULARS In the spring, we were named intramural champions in basketball and soccer. We also pulled off an all-girls Rock Chalk Revue show, which won several awards and earned the coveted fifth show finale position. This fall we look forward to working with the men of Phi Delta Theta to continue our rich Rock Chalk Revue tradition. JOIN US THIS FALL We're eager to see you all around the house as football season continues. Our annual philanthropy event, Wings for a Wish, was September 27 during Homecoming weekend.
