Betas Remember Mark Stanley '81 B rother Mark P. Stanley '81 collapsed suddenly of a pulmonary thromboembolism April 15, 2014, and resuscitation efforts failed to revive him. Born September 27, 1958, he was fondly remembered by many Beta contemporaries and memorialized through toasts, storytelling, and urbane comedy. Mark and his wife, Carla, enjoyed four years prior to his passing. He was active in mental health and substance abuse counseling, including his credentialing and licensure. Grounded in the archives of brotherhood were years upon years of fond memories. "Stan" had an uncanny memory for athletic facts and experiences.
