Sacramento Kings – Cleveland Cavaliers game,
November 12, 1986, which was subsequently
shared with many alumni brothers and reflected
his witty and eclectic delivery.
Mark lived in southern California in the early
1980s following graduation and sustained
several Beta relationships with housing, work
life, and socials.
Reflect on the following brotherhood remarks
and you will agree Mark's loss diminishes all
of us.
"Accomplished musician who could teach and
share riffs. Fierce basketball competitor and
could turn up the heat if opponents got pushy
in the paint. A true gentleman and friend in
every sense of the word. A patient friend who
could listen and counsel."
"Everyone loved Mark: the athletes and
musicians, guys who liked rock and those that
liked disco."
"He wrote our pledge class song 'Thank God
I'm a Beta Pledge' sung to the tune of John
Denver's 'Thank God I'm a Country Boy'."
