As you probably saw in our last mailing to you, several pledge classes really stand out. The class of 1953 has 42% participation, 1985 has 33%, and 1954 has 27%. The class of 1974 also leads with the largest total dollars raised, $152,500! Below we have included an updated top three list of each decade to see who is leading the charge. To date, we are $827,309 short of reaching the $2 million goal and need the support of all brothers to achieve success. We are only 58% of the way there—we need you more than ever to help meet our goal. Please take a few moments to look over the donor list on page 2 and acknowledge our brothers who have joined the effort to provide a secure future for Oklahoma Alpha. We thank these alumni and friends for their generous contributions. Thus far, 107 of 1,207 brothers have shown their support of this vital campaign. That translates to just 8% participation. So if you have not contributed, please accept the challenge to raise your graduation class's level of participation. As alumni, we have a duty to support our chapter. It's time to apply our serious dedication to making our new house a shining symbol of what fraternity life has to offer. Others before us made loyal commitments to ensure our success. Now it's our turn. We need to step up and match the high participation rates some graduation classes have already put forth. We are extending a challenge today—join those of us who have stepped up. The class with the highest percent participation and the class with the largest total dollars raised by December 31, 2014, will receive rights to name a room of their choice in the new house. Be sure your class receives this high honor. Help us by signing and returning the enclosed pledge card right now. Please don't put it off any longer. Send in your gift today and help us celebrate our Oklahoma Alpha history with your five-year pledge. Class Challenge in Full swing Help Us Increase Our 8% Participation Rate T hank you to everyone who has donated to the Pride in Our Past, Ensuring Our Future campaign and made your class a contender in the class challenge. Unfortunately, only a few classes have increased their participation since the challenge was announced last spring, and we are only halfway to our goal. At the end of the challenge, the classes with the highest percent participation and total dollars raised will earn naming rights to the room of their choice. What better way to ensure your class's eternal connection to Oklahoma Alpha? Making a donation will not only increase your class's chances of winning naming rights, but will also ensure our campaign is a success and help SigEp Oklahoma Alpha offer young men the growth and development we had as undergraduates. Congratulations to the 1950s and 1980s classes, which have high participation rates. If more classes gave at these levels we would reach our $2 million goal. To the right, please see the top three classes in each decade with the highest participation thus far. Do your part today with a pledge and honor your class's legacy! 1940s 1949 25% 1950s 1953 42% 1954 27% 1958 26% 1960s 1961 25% 1968 18% 1962,1964, 14% 1966,1967 1970s 1970 25% 1971 21% 1974 20% 1980s 1985 33% 1981 25% 1988 21% 1990s 1998 21% 1999 14% 1995, 1997 8% 2000s 2006 6%
