Gold Sand Concentrates Placer Gold 24 Mesh Size up to Nuggets Quartzsite Licensed Business By Joanne Winer Local bookstore owner Paul Winer is well known for his fan- tastic collection of books and other things in his store on East Main St, and for the unorthodox way he dresses. He has been called "the naked bookseller" by some, but most people don't know that he had a previous career as a boo- gie woogie /blues musician who played up and down the eastern seaboard and back and forth across Canada many years ago. In the past few years, people who live here in town or who have come for the winter season have learned that he plays a mean pia- no, and has now played at several RV parks in the area, as well as in Blythe and Parker and Phoenix. This all started up again when he was invited to go back east 5 years ago to play a benefi t concert at Salisbury Beach in Mass. where he used to spend each summer playing and was known to thou- sands of people; by the stage name Sweet Pie. The Sweet Pie show is an adult show with lots of innuendos and bawdy humor. He used to do it as a comedy strip show, with all kinds of costumes, but has never played that show in this area at all. When he plays in town, mostly now at the Q.I.A., he does a Paul Winer and friends show--fully clothed and still lots of fun and great music. His Sweet Pie show is also fi lled with great comedy and music, only a lot more risqué in the burlesque tradi- tion, with some language that you might not be used to. Paul's producer, Pierce Cra- vens, who has been involved in getting Paul back into performing and promoting him for a new real- ity show, wanted him to fl y back to New York to do his Sweet Pie show that will hopefully lead to more bookings and get the backing for the reality show. The show will be streamed live on YouTube in real time, and you can watch it if you want to see another side of him--a little crazy but lots of great fun. Keep in mind that this will be an Adult show, and there will be some nudity and language that may offend some people. For those of you who want to have a lot of fun and can laugh at themselves, you can check it out at youtube.com/joespubny It will be streamed live at 6:30pm Arizona time. Good Luck Paul and have a great show!! Quartzsite - Arizona Western Col- lege (AWD) announced a list of credited classes being offered at Quartzsite Learning Center.
