He was a well-known scientist, teacher, author, athlete, coach, and an organizer and promoter of the sport of soccer. He was a resident of Littleton, Colo. Richard E. Lohss '48 entered Chapter Grand March 27, 2013. "He was always fond and proud of his days at Butler and Phi Delta Theta," his son, Jeff, said. Richard was a resident of Zionsville, Ind. *** John E. Palmer '48 entered Chapter Grand January 28, 2013. He was a resident of Noblesville, Ind. Ronald L. Long '59 entered Chapter Grand on March 25, 2014. Ron was proud of his Phi Delt experience at Butler receiving a BS degree in chemistry and a graduate degree from the University of Kentucky. Ron was a loving and supportive husband to his wife, Kay, for the forty-six years they were married. Ron told his family recently, "I've had a good life," and we know he meant it.
