M�� 4, 2011 ���.D�����M��������.��� A Thank You to Steve Bennett Long time resident and local con- SNACK SHACK tractor, Steve Bennett has donated his time, know-how and materials to put the beautiful terra cotta roof on the snack shack in the park. This is not the fi rst time Steve has made signifi cant contributions to the Town Park. The shade covers at the dance slab are his donations of time and materials that we all enjoy. He also donated his time to install STUDENT ARTISTS RECEIVE CHECKS and fourth grade students painted 2 fl agstone rocks along with other art- ists who participated in the 2nd an- nual Rockin’ In Quartzsite! A Cel- ebration of the Arts! event. Proud Neighbors of Quartzsite hosted the event and everyone had a great time. The students had this opportunity Quartzsite Elementary School third to test their talents and have their art auctioned along with the other art- ists. The students benefi ted from the proceeds from the auction and plan to open savings accounts with the help of their parents. Some of the students already have a savings account. What a great opportunity for the students to prepare for their futures now! the goals at the multi-use athletic fi eld. These are just a few of his contribu- tions. Our park is truly a community park, with organizations and individu- als donating time, materials, funds and hard work to create a park we can all be proud of. P��� 13 TOWN HALL MEETING A Town Hall Meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, May 18th, 2011 at 3:00 P.M. at the Q.I.A. located at 235 East Ironwood. This is a moderated meet- ing to answer questions from the pub- lic about our Town. No more than two Council Mem- bers will be present along with Town staff. If you want a ride to the meeting, please phone Town Hall at 928-927- 4333 and our Transit Service can pro- vide transportation. We look forward to seeing you there!
