Quartzsite’s FREE Community Paper Quartzsite Youth 40 ft. banner celebrates accomplishments of local champs QUARTZSITE, AZ - Local resident, Mary Vandever, wanted to show the Scholars’ Academy how much Quartzsite is behind our youth. Within two and a half hours, Mary raised over $700 to purchase a 40 foot-long banner recognizing the accomplish- ments of Scholars’ Boys Football and Girls Softball Teams. Both teams beat out the pack to become the Arizona Charter Athletic Association’s Champions of 2010! The banner will be placed across the west end of Main Street near McDonald’s for all to see the phenomenal success of our small town’s youth and the Scholars’ Academy! “The banner is to promote the school and the students who worked so hard to earn the titles of state champions!” said Scholars’ Billie Rhines. “The Scholars’ Academy would also like to thank everyone who donated money to Mary for this cause. Thank you Quartzsite for all your support!” Medical Marijuana Dispensary in Quartzsite?
