There were teacher conferences held Wednesday, March 19, in the High School cafeteria, and the teacher conferences on Thursday were held in Quartzsite, at the AWC Learning Center. There was an away Base- ball game against Glendale Prep on Tuesday, March 18, where the boys played hard. Also, there was a Soft- ball game against Mingus Moun- tain at home where the girls won with a score of 23-2. Thursday both teams played against Gila Bend at home. The Highway Cleanup was held Friday, March 21, and over ten students volunteered their time to help clean up their community. The Track team had a track meet at Bourgade on Saturday, March. The softball and baseball teams have worked hard on the fi eld to im- prove as a team and as individuals. There was a game against Phoenix Christian at Phoenix Christian on Wednesday, March 26, where the softball and baseball teams played an outstanding game. The Salt River softball and baseball tourna- ment began Thursday, March 27, and ended March 29. The track team hosted the Junior High Track Meet on Tuesday, March 25, where the students helped set up and run the events. The junior class served a Lasagna dinner at the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 769 in Quartzsite, AZ on March 22, from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. Stu- dents prepared and served the ap- petizer, main dish, and the desserts. Thank you to all who attended the dinner in support of Salome High School's junior class. Also, thank you to the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 769 members, Comrades, and Ladies Auxiliary, who allowed the junior class to inhabit the main hall and kitchen area of the VFW estab- Salome High updates lishment.
