p. 3 sigMA phi Epsilon t hroughout the fall semester Texas Alpha once again set the standard for excellence in the fraternity system at UT. We've continued to maintain one of the highest chapter GPAs on campus while boasting some of the largest manpower: more than 200 members. We're committed to continuing that same degree of excellence this spring. Campus involvement Recently a number of brothers were selected to join elite campus organizations. Kyle Echerd '15 and Drew raymond '15 were selected to join the ranks of the Texas Cowboys, while Alex reinking '15 and Max guarniere '15 were chosen to serve as Silver Spurs. Additionally, the men of Texas Alpha have excelled in other campus leadership opportunities as of late. Six of our brothers were chosen to serve on the executive board of the Texas Interfraternity Council, more than any other fraternity on campus. Positions held by our members include: Vice President of Greek Relations Joey reynolds '16, Vice President of Judicial Affairs Kyle Mason '16, myself as director of leadership, Director of Operations Tyler Alexander '15, Director of Scholarship Lee Lueder '16, and Director of Greek Relations parker Schramm '16. Thank you for your contribution. It has meant the world to me and the other beneficiaries of our chapter." -Maclean Martin '15 "I was honored to be considered for the Buffkin Felker Scholarship. Being chosen was a touching moment for me. It was jaw dropping to have the support of so many individuals; I owe much gratitude to the alumni for creating an award with so much meaning and to my fellow brothers of SigEp for recognizing me as a worthy recipient. The scholarship has helped me tremendously with all of the expenses that attending school in Austin requires. I cannot thank SigEp enough for all it has done for me." -Max guarniere '15 "Receiving financial support from the ΣΦΕ Educational Foundation for Texas Alpha was a humbling experience. It's a good feeling to know the work you are putting into the organization is coming back to you in turn. The Texas Alpha alumni do much to support our chapter and this is a prime example of one of the more individually-rewarding actions. I can't thank them enough; they are the best." -Doug Brustkern '14 Active Members Expand Texas Alpha's Success initiative for the semester. This year we went above and beyond previous years' fundraising with more than $7,000 raised from that event alone. The money was donated to the Wounded Warrior Project in order to serve veterans and service members of the United States who suffered injuries both physical and emotional during their time of military service. Texas Alpha Appreciates the Support of Alumni SigEp at Texas is unparalleled thanks to the diligence and hard work of its members in academics, philanthropy, and student leadership. Yet, our accomplishments and accolades would not be possible if it wasn't for the constant support of our generous alumni. We are eternally grateful for the time, effort, and guidance that you give to our chapter. We'd like to remind you that you will always have a home at Texas Alpha and you are more than welcome to stop by any time you wish.
