The girls' and boys' teams both lost. The basketball teams also played against Glendale Prep on Friday the 17th.There was no school on Mon- day, for the national Martin Luther King Day holiday. The Student Council have their state convention January 23 through January 25. The Art Club will be sponsoring the Roadrunner Gem and Mineral Club activities and live music. After Friday's game against Glen- dale Prep, there will only be two more home games for the basketball season. The basketball teams have done their best for the 2013-2014 season, and the stats and awards will be posted at a later date. The Student Council have their State Convention the 23rd through the 25th of January, and the theme was, 'Viva Las Vegas.' The Student Council members did their best to suit the theme, and to bring valuable Salome High updates information back to campus to infl u- ence the student body to get more involved in school wide activities. The Art Club is sponsoring the Roadrunner Gem and Mineral Club fundraiser. It is to help with the donation to the Scholarship Fund which grants scholarships to the local graduating High School students. There is a small fee of $3.00, which is your contribution to the Scholarship Fund. The event will take place Monday, February 3,2014, at 6:30 p.m. in the Salome High School's Cafeteria. The Little Sisters Band and the Roadside Playboys will be making an appear- ance and entertaining the guests with live music.
