Since the past year saw over 100 snake abatement calls within the Quartzsite Fire Department cover- age area, Jim Walkington of Vipor Voidance will speak on habits of snakes, training your dog to avoid rattlesnakes and keeping your dog safe. All persons are welcome to come hear this informative speech. Jim instructs by appoint- ment only and can be reached at 480 215 1776. He will also be available at the Quartzsite Gold and Treasure show for instruction and will lecture on Saturday afternoon in the lecture hall courtesy of the Gold Show hosts. The GRAND Gathering (TGG) board has orga- nized a Guinness Record Attempt for the World's Largest Human Letter "Q" on Sunday, March 9th, at 2pm. According to Guinness representa- tives, all letters have been attempt- ed... except the "Q"! Organizers hope for a minimum of 550 partic- ipants to count. Participants must register to be a part of the Human "Q". Registration starts Monday, Feb. 10th at the Quartzsite Im- provement Association (QIA) 235 Ironwood, Quartzsite.
