I also take no issue with profitability; we each must pay our bills. Just helping • A vehicle was reported stuck on the tracks near South and Chicago in Corning Tuesday night. A caller said they were concerned because it appeared there was a 12pack of beer sitting on the ground next to the vehicle. The man was later seen carrying the beer walking southbound on Chicago Avenue. An officer made contact with the man who explained he had no association with the vehicle. He simply was attempting to help remove it from the tracks. Keepers • A 56-year-old man reported that on Dec. 16 he found cash blowing in the wind on Cone Grove Road. Since there is no way to identify the possible owner, the man will be keeping the money. Trespass • Someone reported seeing the doors to Los Montes on Solano Street wide open around noon Tuesday, but the lights were off and the business appeared closed. Officers found a person locked inside a restroom. The business owner did not want to pursue trespassing charges. Vandalism • A pair of fence posts were damaged on Paskenta road. The damage was estimated at $200.
