Saturday, November 13, 2010 – Daily News – 5B Wintons to perform Sunday Operation Christmas Child hours scheduled Nov. 15-21 Community Baptist Church, 598 Round-Up Ave., in Red Bluff will serve as a shoe box col- lection site for the Oper- ation Christmas Child project, Nov. 15-21. Daily collection hours scheduled are: Monday noon-3 p.m.; Tuesday-Friday 10 a.m.- 3 p.m. ; Saturday noon- 4 p.m. ; Sunday 1-4 p.m. Operation Christmas Child is a children's missionary outreach of Samartian's Purse, a Christian crisis-relief organization based in Boone, North Carolina, directed by Franklin Graham. The Wintons will be leading in worship at 10:30 a.m. on Sunday, Nov. 14, at the Red Bluff First Christian Church, 926 Madison St. Guitarist and lead singer Randy Winton along with his sons Cody and Jesse Winton will also be sharing the gospel, encourage believers in biblical family life and tell about the blessings of adoption they have experienced. Cody plays the banjo, fiddle, rhythm guitar, bass and dobro guitars. Jesse plays mandolin, rhythm and lead guitar and fiddle. They both also sing lead and harmony vocals. Their band began its life as a fun family activity. Now they perform a mix of gospel and traditional blue- grass music at venues throughout Cal- ifornia. They have also had the opportunity to open for or play on stage with IBMA award-winning groups includ- ing Newfound Road, Russell Moore and IIIrd Tyme Out, and The Kenny and Amanda Smith Band.
