Tasting in participating stores of beef appe- tizers and micro-brew beers will be featured. Angie Wilson was the maid of honor and Samual Hayes was the best man. A reception was held at the grooms parents residence in Richfield. The couple honeymooned in Mexico and will live in Cottonwood.The bride,the daughter of Harry S. Barker and Maryann Parker of Cottonwood, is a 1978 graduate of Red Bluff Union High School. The groom, the son of John and Olivia Mendez of Richfield,is a 1988 graduate of Oakland High School in Oakland, Ore. He owns Mendez Autobody in Richfield. Box 8027, Red Bluff, CA 96080 Seasonal flu clinics scheduled Staying healthy will be easier this year as Tehama County Pub- lic Health sets its community vaccination clinics in motion with more vaccines available. This year, all Tehama County residents will be able to receive: • A combination flu vaccine that will protect against both sea- sonal and H1N1 flu.One shot will take you through flu season. • A combination vaccine for tetanus, pertussis and diphtheria. Public Health will be offering pneumonia vaccine and pediatric flu vaccine. For children 6 months to 3 years old and for pregnant women. For more information on the availability of these vaccines at upcoming clinics call Public Health. Clinics will be held 9 a.m. to noon on Monday, Sept. 20, at the Red Bluff Community Center, 1500 S. Jackson St., Red Bluff and the Veterans’ Hall, 7980 Sherwood Blvd., in Los Molinos. Corning Veterans’ Hall, 1620 Solano St., will host a clinic 3-6 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 21. The cost for receiving one or more vaccines will be $4 per individual or $8 per family. Medicare Part B will be accepted for the seasonal flu vac- cine. Please bring your Medicare card with you to the clinic. “All Tehama County residents six months and older should get a flu shot in order to prevent sick- ness, hospitalization and compli- cations of the flu,” said Tehama County Health Officer Dr. Richard Wickenheiser. To stop the spread of influenza and other illnesses, Wickenheiser encourages all Tehama County residents to take the following steps: • Stay home when you are sick to avoid spreading illness to co- workers and friends. • Cough or sneeze into your elbow or a tissue and properly dispose of used tissues. • Wash your hands thoroughly with soap and water or use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer to get rid of most germs. Avoid touching your eyes, nose or mouth. • Stay healthy by eating a bal- anced diet, drinking plenty of water and getting adequate rest and exercise. Ray and Frances Lobaugh celebrated their 60th anniversary on Aug. 19 with a celebration at North Valley Baptist Church of Red Bluff held on Aug. 29.The Fellowship Hall was decorated with 100 red roses, the favorite flower of the couple.The church hosted the event along with Brenda LeBar, the couple's daughter. Ray A. Lobaugh married Farnces Priddy on Aug. 19, 1950 in San Pablo, CA. They met when Frances, a native of Tennessee, came to visit her cousin in California. The cousin was dating Ray's brother, and so they met. Ray, a self proclaimed "Old Okie," is a native of Oklahoma. He had a career in construction, then retired and took up ranching in Red Bluff. Sixty years later, the marriage is still going strong. "Just have faith in one another and God, and have a lot of patience," Frances said in reference to their long union. 1 teaspoon dry mustard Cook ground beef and onion until brown and drain.
