Below are a few FYIs about the House Corporation Board and chapter house. The support of alumnae is critical so the chapter house remains a safe, comfortable, and updated home away from home for the collegiate members. The deepest thanks to our alumnae who have supported the board. • Fifteen members make up the HCB, including 11 alumnae and four chapter officers. • Fiscal year is June 1 through May 31, with an annual budget of nearly $1 million. • HCB invested over $150,000 last summer to renovate the commercial kitchen, kitchenette, and house director's apartment. • HCB invested over $60,000 in maintenance and updates throughout this last academic year. • The chapter house will be at full capacity with 82 members moving in for fall 2025. The House Corporation Board invites all alumnae to participate in the chapter by donating, volunteering for projects/events, or serving as a board member or chapter advisor. Chapter Goals Alumnae engagement: Past and present sisters are the root of our sorority, and keeping this lifelong bond alive strengthens our sisterhood. We have implemented more events revolving around alumnae where they can come to the house or attend virtual events. We have also started a new senior recognition night to honor our incoming alumnae. Recruitment morale: Our chapter officers, alongside our dedicated vice president of recruitment, have been working behind the scenes to ensure this upcoming recruitment is not only smooth and successful but filled with excitement and sisterhood. The chapter has been strategizing and organizing every detail, setting the tone for a positive, high- energy experience. Philanthropy: Our chapter has put in great effort to plan and host events that support all five of our philanthropies. We're excited to continue building on this momentum by organizing unique philanthropic events for each cause, further strengthening our involvement and impact. We're proud to have exceeded our fundraising goal for the Walk to End Alzheimer's and surpassed expectations with our Sweet Like SK event, raising significant funds for Sigma Kappa Foundation. Sisters at the Sweet like SK philanthropy event, raising money for the Sigma Kappa Pulse Foundation.
