T his year has been an incredible journey for the sisters of Sigma Kappa, filled with accomplishments, meaningful connections, and continued dedication to our values of personal growth, service, and sisterhood. Our commitment to philanthropy has been at the heart of everything we do. We were proud to surpass our fundraising goal for the Walk to End Alzheimer's, raising funds and awareness for a cause that means so much to us. Additionally, our "Sweet Like SK" event was a sweet success, raising over $7,000 and exceeding expectations thanks to the hard work and enthusiasm of our chapter and community. Academically, our sisters continue to shine. Many of our members earned spots on the dean's list and honor roll, demonstrating our chapter's dedication to excellence in the classroom. These achievements reflect the balance we strive to maintain between academic success and active campus involvement. On campus, Sigma Kappa has remained actively engaged through participation in intramural sports. Our competitive spirit shone through as we advanced to the championship game for women's basketball, playing in the iconic Mackey Arena. Whether on the court or in the classroom, our sisters continue to support one another and represent Sigma Kappa with pride. Sisterhood has remained a cornerstone of our chapter's success. We hosted a variety of bonding events throughout the year, including our unique "Build-A-Sister" event, where members created stuffed bears to commemorate their friendships. We also cherished our intergenerational connections during the Alumnae Tea Party, where current members and alumnae came together over tea and conversation, sharing memories and celebrating our shared sisterhood. As we reflect on this year, we are filled with gratitude and pride. The women of Sigma Kappa have shown what it means to be compassionate, driven, and united. We look forward to continuing our legacy of excellence and sisterhood in the year ahead. Loyally, Nicole Liu '24 Chapter President PAIGE LAMPEN '24 "I initially decided to do recruitment after my freshman year roommate did spring COB and ended up in SK. I went into recruitment open-minded, determined not to just 'follow' my roommate. However, during recruitment, I loved the energy from the women and immediately felt right at home!" ELANA RHOGE '24 "I loved Sigma Kappa because during every round of recruitment, the women seemed so genuine and enthusiastic! I never felt like I had to pretend to be a different version of myself. In the last two semesters in the house, I've made my best friends, and I'm so happy I found my place." ZOE STOVER '24 "Walking into the house and talking to the women felt so welcoming, and it was a place where I could see myself growing as an individual while making connections to further my success. The friendship and encouragement I have found at SK motivates me to be the best version of myself, and I am so grateful for the opportunities that come with the chapter!" EMILY YAO '24 "I felt like the women represented who I was and were the kind of people I wanted in my life. I could see myself being comfortable in the house and truly connecting with the other girls." Sisters at our Hamptons-themed spring formal.
