UNIVERSITY OF ILLINOIS URBANA-CHAMPAIGN SPRING 2024 Updates from Illinois Alpha Notes from the AVC President Thank You to Our Volunteers I want to thank John Vercellino '75, Matt Weber '05, and Bill VanDerLaan '02 for their service as members of the board, as they've all decided to move on to new opportunities. John in particular has been an important and valued member of the board for over 20 years. He will stay involved with alumni communications, which is something he does very well. We hope that Matt and Bill also stay involved and look forward to them rejoining the board at a time when their lives allow. Working to rebuild the chapter last fall, two recruitment specialists were trained and paid for by SigEp Headquarters. They served as the primary source of recruitment of new members through December. Michael Cross, Rutgers University '23, Regional Director and Volunteer Specialist, is currently working with the chapter to continue the rebuilding process. Thank you to all volunteers for your continued hard work and support. I'm grateful that we are bringing the chapter back to campus and am looking forward to building on that success. It's great to be a SigEp! Fraternally, David M.
