The new offi cers are President Nan- cyEidsmoe, 1st Vice President Teresa Deshler, 2nd Vice President Jeanne Fuller, Secretary Jackie Dees and Treasurer Bev Owens. Congratula- tions ladies, here's to an active and fun fi lled term! SOCIAL The last social of the season was held Thursday, April 18th. Con- nie Hoff and Ashley Stuart,Colorado River Regional Crisis Services (CRRCS), gave a presentation on domestic violence in Las Paz County and how their organization can help victims. Domestic violence is a signa- ture program for General Federation Women's Clubs. Hosts for the day were Jeanne Fuller and Barbara Hy- mer. There was a potluck luncheon after which a game of Left Right Cen- ter was played. Jackie Dees was the lucky winner. The Done-In-A-Day project was school supplies for the summer read program at Centennial CommunityCenter. Approximately $225.00 in school supplies and cash was raised for this program. 2024-2025 PROJECTS Some of those fun projects for the new Board are as follows. In September the GFWC Na- tional Day of Service to help combat food insecurities within our commu- nity; the 2025 Community Grant Pro- gram letters will be sent out. In Oc- tober: Dick Wick Hall Founder's Day Celebration Pie Sales sponsored by the Salome Lion's Club. November. Members will hold their Annual Holiday Bazaar. In January expect the 4th Annual Bake Sale. February is the Annual Yard Sale (moved from January), plus the club's participation in McMullen Valley Chamber's Spring Fling fes- tivities. Then in March, the GFWC- AZ Southwestern District Spring Convention will be held with Vi- SaWen hosting. Whew, a busy year is planned already! More information about each event will be shared in the future. NEXT MEETING The next regular business meeting will be May 2, 2024, 1:00 pm at the clubhouse located at 66918 Avenue C, Salome, Arizona. Everyone is invited to attend and learn what the women's club does for our community. May will be our last regular business meeting until September. The following business meeting will be held on September 5th. The club doesn't go complete- ly dark throughout the summer as members still appear each and every Monday to work on projects. Trails are an essential part of Ari- zona's outdoor recreation, providing access to some of the state's most beautiful and unique landscapes. The Trails Plan guides the acquisi- tion, development, management, and resource allocation for both motorized and non-motorized trails throughout Arizona across land managers and recreation providers. It helps determine the distribution of grant funding from the federal non-motorized and motorized Rec- reational Trails Program and the state's Off-Highway Vehicle and Heritage Trail funds. Arizona State Parks and Trails is required to up- date this plan every fi ve years.
