NIGHTMARE ON E. BURNAM Missouri Alpha focused heavily in the fall on raising money for Live Like Lou Foundation. One of the best parts: reintroducing the haunted house! Overnight, the chapter house was transformed into an interactive, spooky experience for the Mizzou community to enjoy. Participants were also treated to pumpkin decorating and treats in the courtyard. In total, the men raised over $3,000. WE ARE IRON PHIS The other primary philanthropy focus last semester was recognizing many members as Iron Phis. Eighteen brothers began their journey by accepting the same challenge: The Murph. This workout, created by the Navy to push members to the limit, consists of a two-mile run, 100 pull-ups, 200 push- ups, and 300 squats—all while wearing a 20-pound vest. One brother, Logan Bayless '25 (who lost his father to ALS), was able to raise $2,149. Congratulations to Logan for being the eighth- highest individual fundraiser nationally in 2023. THE GREATEST HOMECOMING (AS ALWAYS) Mizzou's Homecoming, which is the first and finest in the nation, was another priority this fall. Head Liaisons Brock Hulshof '26, Charlie Bowen '26, Ethan Peter '24, and Brayden Schnurbusch '25 spent countless hours with the women of Tri Delta to contribute to this timeless tradition. This year, we helped fundraise $7,492 and collect 92,578 pounds of canned food, while the Mizzou community donated over 4,740 units of blood to save lives. Phi Delta Theta took second place in blood donations and fifth in house dec. BUILDING BONDS Lastly, the brothers held many social events with other members of the Greek community to strengthen connections and build peers networks. We had a great time meeting everyone and are excited to further these connections through the spring. Thank you for your continued support of Missouri Alpha Chapter!
