N�� �� ��� 20 t h YEAR! ������ | S������ ���� ������-���� SEE CONFERENCE PAGE 16 September 20 September 20 Quartzsite, Ariz. - More than 1,400 city and town offi cials, legisla- tors, business leaders, guests and youth council leaders from across the state gathered in Tucson the last week of August for League of Arizona Cities and Towns Annual Conference, held August 29-Sep- tember 1 at the JW Marriott Starr Pass Resort in Tucson, AZ. Among those in attendance were Mayor Norm Simpson, Town Manager Jim Ferguson, Public Works Nicci Collier, Council Mem- bers Starr BearCat, Karey Amon, Sam Saxton, and Devyn Rosner of Quartzsite. Quartzsite officials gather in Tucson for annual conference Quartzsite, AZ - August 25, 2023- Town of Quartzsite and The Main Event hosted the Ribbon Cutting for TESLA 88-stall Supercharger. It is the largest single build Tesla Supercharger Station. "Here we grow again," said Mayor Norm Simpson. Council members Loretta Warner, Starr BearCat, Karey Amon, and Devyn Rosner also attended. "Humpy the Quartzsite Camel" was excited to meet Alfred Atallah, represent- ing the Main Event; Neal Talaske, TESLA Project De- TESLA Supercharger Ribbon Cutting held veloper; and Beth Sorenson, TESLA Design Engineer. And especially, Al Atallah, owner of Main Event, who celebrated his 73rd birthday by cutting the ribbon! "This is the largest single-build Supercharger we've ever built in the US and the largest outside of Cali- fornia," said Talaske. He thanked Town of Quartzsite staff for all their cooperation. The new Supercharger is located at 370 W. Main St. Quartzsite, Arizona, just east of Terrible's Fuel Station.
