Follow the antics of Blackbeard and his crew as they commandeer a bathtub to carry out their daring plan. It's good clean fun for the whole family! ORANGE STREET 2 p.m. & 4 p.m. Join Cape Fear Regional Theatre's bud- ding young Summer Camp thespians for the Session 2 final performances of "The Adventure of Our Lives, So Far!" This is the world premiere musical written just for the CFRT Summer Camp. When a group of young archeologists dis- turb a rare and magical artifact, they are transported through time and realize they have bitten off more than they can chew. With a little help from some new friends, they embark on a quest to get home. It will be the adventure of their lives, so far. They are only kids after all! Tickets can be purchased at cfrt.org. The Exhibi- tion is a collection of art by our community for our local community. You will find art created by artists of all ages, disciplines and mediums. Get lost in the gallery and find new artists to love and follow. Support these artists by purchasing the art to encourage them to keep creating. INDEPENDENCE DAY CONCERT FESTIVAL PARK 6 p.m. The Fayetteville Symphony Orchestra and the city of Fayetteville will present a free admission Independence Day Concert. Gates open at 6 p.m. and the concert begins at 7:15 p.m. There will be various food vendors and a beer tent on site. Special guests include the Fayetteville Symphonic Band and the 82nd Airborne Division All-American Band. We hope to see you at this patriotic event! The bar is cash only with an ATM on site. A children's play area will also be available. TUESDAY, JULY 4 THURSDAY, JUNE 29 FUN IN THE SUN CHARCUTERIE 325 BLOUNT STEET 7:30 p.m. The Downtown Market of Fayetteville is excited for their first Fun in the Sun Char- cuterie class. If you attend this class, you can expect two hours of laughter, fun, a summer themed charcuterie board to take home, summer margaritas in class, and a charcuterie board to snack on during class. You will also come home with a cup to keep. Tickets are $80. The course is designed as a historic tour of Downtown Fayetteville. Competitive runners, recreational runners, walkers, kids, strollers and dogs are all invited. Be sure to dress up in your favorite Red, White, and Blue running attire. The 1 Mile Fun Run is limited to 75 entrants. This year they are not only celebrating the Club's anniversary, but also Lee's 40th anniversary as a member of the Wingmen. Doors open when you show up and stay that way until you leave. Saturday will be their annual 4th of July party where they are doing a "Patriotic Bikini and Board-shorts" theme. They will have the dunk-tank ready among other wet and wild options to keep you cool during the day and then music, food and fireworks. SATURDAY, JULY 1 FRIDAY, JUNE 30 [TITLE OF SHOW] GILBERT THEATER 8 p.m. Jeff and Hunter are two struggling writers who hear about a new musical theatre fes- tival. The deadline for submissions is a mere three weeks away. With nothing to lose, the pair decides to try to create something new with the help of their friends Susan, Heidi and Larry. With the cast in place, Jeff and Hunter begin a conversation about what to write about. In the span of 90 minutes they write and perform their show at the festival and learn lessons about themselves as people, friends and artists. "[title of show]" follows Hunter and Jeff and their fri - ends on their journey through the gauntlet of creative self-expression.
