WWW.UPANDCOMINGWEEKLY.COM 16 UCW MARCH 22 - 28, 2023 e Fayetteville Technical Com- munity College Foundation is proud to present its 3rd Annual Trojan Fit 5K Color Run on April 22. e event will take place at FTCC's Fayetteville campus with two differ- ent routes to accommodate all who want to participate. ere will be a full 5K route for the more "color-tastic" runners and a slightly shorter route for strollers, bikers, and walkers. is community 5K was created to include everyone and to have fun. Participating in the event as a run- ner or walker costs $35.00, including the Annual Trojan Fit 5K Color Run Shirt. Participants can register, pay on- line and even explore the website for the race map and additional informa- tion. e map gives a visual of the path and labels where the color and drink stations will be located. is race is truly created for every- one in mind to participate and sup- port in their personal way. For those who do not want to run but still wish to participate, you can register as a sponsor and donate. e race will also host various local vendors and the FTCC campus clubs. is is a great way to see what is lo- cally available in Fayetteville and what FTCC students do for their campus community. e Trojan Fit 5K Color Run is a huge campus event requiring a lot of support and coordination from faculty and staff. If you want to help support the Trojan Fit 5K team, you can also sign up to volunteer. Volunteers will have various jobs, such as working water stations, checking-in, working color stations, and so much more. e purposes of FTCC's Foundation are (1) To raise money from private sources to build up the FTCC Founda- tion financial base, (2) To manage the collection, investment, and distribu- tion of private gifts for FTCC students, faculty, and staff, (3) And to provide meaning- ful programs and services to FTCC alumni and friends by manag- ing an effective alumni program. e FTCC Foundation, Inc., is a 501(c)(3) organization, and all dona- tions are tax deductible to the extent allowed by law. Providing a donation to FTCC Foundation means an opportunity to make a positive difference for qualify- ing students who are trying to improve their quality of life through education. We hope you will come out to FTCC's beautiful Fayetteville campus to support your local community and students of Fayetteville Technical Community College by participating in the 3rd Annual Trojan Fit 5K Color Run! It's a great way for everyone to enjoy outdoors on a spring day, to meet new friends, and to contribute in a positive way to the community by helping FTCC students.
