T hey were years in the planning, months in the works, but now two large construction projects are done and have redefined Englewood's historic downtown for decades to come. With the side-by-side projects of Pioneer Plaza and the Dearborn Street revitalization completed, businesses are welcoming people to Old Englewood Village, the heart of the community. Already, property owners have big plans for some individual commercial parcels on the street. Sarasota County has approved plans for a mini-golf course at the old Blue Pagoda building on the 200 block. And local business owners Keith Farlow and Scott Libertore are planning a destination restaurant for the west end of Dearborn at historic Buchan's Landing. Meanwhile, West Dearborn Street is bustling with more planned events than ever before. A Fresh Dearborn Sta Report for Old Englewood New k C.
