JaNuaRY 29-febRuaRY 4, 2023 Where fresh is always in season Whether you've resolved to eat healthier, cleaner, or just more adventurously this year, First Watch is the place to find delicious and creative alternatives. At First Watch, they are committed to bringing the freshest, most flavorful ingredients from their bakers, makers, and growers to deliver fresh breakfast, brunch and lunch made to order. Farm to fork freshness There are so many inventive and intriguing dishes to explore at First Watch. Corporate Chef Shane Schaibly is always keeping things fun and fresh, farm to fork. At First Watch they like to say they obsess a bit over their ingredients…and it shows. Everything here is made from scratch, in house, from their French Toast batter and baked goods to veggies sliced and juices squeezed Fresh. Every. Day. "Having the fresh food focus just feels right. It feels good to me," says Amanda Lehmann, First Watch Director of Operations. Amanda can be found cooking, hosting and guiding her staff in best practices at any time in her numerous First Watch locations (two in Springfield, one in Joplin, one in Lake of the Ozarks, Missouri; and three in Northwest Arkansas). "Serving people is the best part about working for First Watch," Amanda notes. "I love being in customer service." Beyond breakfast tacos Craving a new adventure to start the year? Every season brings vibrant, innovative menu specials at First Watch, like the veg-friendly Cauli-Rizo Breakfast Tacos. These seasonal tacos are filled with Chorizo-spiced cauliflower, scrambled cage-free eggs, Cheddar and Monterey Jack and fresh, seasoned potatoes on three wheat-corn tortillas. Topped with fresh avocado, lime crema, house-pickled red onions and cilantro. Served with seasoned black beans. "The texture and flavor you get out of the chopped in-house cauliflower is second to none and just delivers a unique eating experience!" says Chef Shane. Or, you might try the crave-worthy Chicken Pesto Hash: two cage-free eggs basted in basil pesto, served over fresh, seasoned potatoes with grape tomatoes, sliced seasoned chicken breast and housemade pico de gallo. Topped with herbed Goat cheese and fresh herbs. Then there's the Triple Berry Acai Bowl: organic SAMBAZON® Acaí (ah-sigh-EE) topped with fresh strawberries, blackberries, blueberries and their housemade granola with almonds. Served with their whole grain artisan toast topped with almond butter and Maldon sea salt. You'll feel extra good about eating it, because it features certified Fair Trade açaí from the Amazon rainforest of Brazil, ethically harvested with every effort to support local communities and protect the region's unique biodiversity. After all, Brazil accounts for over 85% of the world's açaí production! And, First Watch is donating 25 cents to Rainforest Trust with every bowl sold. Something delicious is always happening at your neighborhood First Watch restaurant
