Upon completion of this course students will be challenged to remember and apply various Kizomba dance principles, elements, learn about the characteristic of Kizomba, posture, basic moves, core moves, foundation, connection and musicality using our methodology. This course is for dancers who are ready to commit and learn the skills of dancing Kizomba. Due to the technical nature of the dance, regular class attendance and self practice outside of class is highly recommended. SATURDAY, DECEMBER 31 NEW YEAR'S EVE BOWLING DRAGON LANES 8 p.m. To celebrate a great 2022 and welcome the new year 2023, SENCAIA will be hosting its annual New Year's Eve party at the Crown Coliseum Ballroom. This year's theme will be "A Red Carpet Affair," so come dressed in your best VIP Attire - Bollywood or Hollywood fashion is all welcome! There will be a Live DJ, Dance Floor, Delicious Evening Snacks, and Cash Bar. The party will be hosted in the ballroom. This will be a ticketed event, the cost for members is $25 per person and for non-members is $50 per person. Tickets may not be available at the time of the event, so please make sure to RSVP! Additionally, they are happy to have Cumberland County Sheriff Deputies on hand as well. Tickets can be bought at https://bit.ly/3HWCrER. 11 a.m. A long-standing tradition of the North Carolina State Parks are the First Day Hikes. Start the year off right and come for a variety of hikes throughout the park. Meet at the Sandhills Access on McClo- skey Street for a 2-mile hike to explore the sights and sounds of the Sandhills Access. You will wander through the longleaf pines and learn about the different types of plants and animals in the area and see what kind of animal tracks and signs we can find. Meet at the Sandhills Access by the small parking lot. Call 910-436-4681 to register. MYSTERY ANIMAL IDENTIFICATION CLARK PARK 3 p.m. Do you know the clues to identifying local animals by their tracks? Help the rangers look for tracks around the park to identify what animals call Clark Park home. Make a track of your own to take home. This event is open to all ages and is free. Call 910-433-1579 or register online at https://www.fcpr.us/parks-trails/parks/ clark-park TUESDAY, JANUARY 3 THURSDAY, DECEMBER 29 COMEDY & COCKTAILS PADDY'S IRISH PUB 7:30 p.m. Comedy and Cocktails in the Church Entertainment Lounge will provide fun with Open Mic Comedy and Wacky Kilted Games! Then sit back and be prepared to laugh out loud with their showcase of nationally touring comedians Dougie Almeida, Chris Wilson and Jacob Nolan. Recently, headliner Almeida appeared on "Jimmy Kimmel Live" on the segment, "Wall of America". Once on stage, he delivers blow after blow, hitting the audience with punch line after punch line. His wit and stage presence is second to none. One thing is always certain – Almeida will knock you out! Almeida is always funny, always professional, and yes, always dangerous. Wilson and Nolan are both from Greensville, South Carolina and are excited to perform here in Fayetteville. 7 p.m. SUNDAY, JANUARY 1 SATURDAY, DECEMBER 31 HOP DROP CELEBRATION DIRTBAG ALES BREWERY 11:30 a.m. Join Dirtbag Ales for a family-friendly New Year's Eve event. This event will check off all your New Year's Eve requirements but still get you home in time to put the little ones to bed. Live music with the Stone Dolls. Outside of the playground, there will be an arts and crafts table, balloon art and snacks from Munchies. Food will be available for purchase from R Bur - ger, Napkins, and BBQ Lab. There will be a Balloon Drop happening at 5 p.m. Dirtbag Ales is located at 5435 Corporation Drive in Hope Mills. SENCAIA'S NYE PARTY CROWN COLISEUM 8 p.m. Bowl in the New Year! Go to Dragon Lanes bowling for five hours of unlimited cosmic bowling, a shoe rental, cham- pagne, party favors, and hors d'oeuvres. Lanes will be shared and this event is open to the public. Anyone 4 and under receive free tickets. Kids ages five to twelve are $15 and everyone else can get a ticket for $25. Tickets are on sale until Dec 30. Pre-registration is required and each family will receive a 'party package' with paid registration with enough supplies for the entire family. Light refreshments will also be served.
