considers legal process for clearing
homeless encampments
City staff to research retirement plan for
Fayetteville City Council members
The Fayetteville City Council on Monday was not
supportive of a plan that would provide the legal
framework and protocols to clear out homeless
encampments across the city that posed public
health and safety risks for the individuals living
there and for the passersby
Wednesday August 3, 2022.
City staff will research a proposal that could
allow Fayetteville City Council members to receive
retirement pay ...
The documents state that research includes
looking at giving $500 per month to members who
have served 10 or more years on the council after
they leave the council.
