T7 BY MICHELLE ROSE TV Media A ccording to Guy Fi- eri: "If you put a game show, late night talk show and a food competition show in a blender, you get 'Guy's Ulti- mate Game Night.'" This is how he describes his new Hollywood cooking game show (his sixth Food Network series), which launches Wednesday, Aug. 31, on Food Network and discovery+. A unique twist on classic party games, each episode of "Guy's Ultimate Game Night" features teams of celebrity guests competing across five rounds of food-related games. The series is hosted by Fieri (naturally), with "Top Chef " alumna/"Cutthroat Kitchen" judge Antonia Lofaso assisting with the action, which ranges from decorating a fairly tradi- tional cake to designing a piz- za that looks like Fieri himself. There's even "Cooktionary," a food-themed take on Piction- ary, in which celebrities have to guess food items as they are being drawn by Fieri and Lofa- so. "Guy's Ultimate Game Night" has lined up quite a number of celebrities who will compete in front of a live audi- ence for the chance to win prizes for the charity of their choice. The freshman season's con- testants include Vivica A. Fox ("Independence Day," 1996); "Entertainment Tonight" hosts Kevin Frazier and Nisch- elle Turner; comedian Ron Funches ("Loot"); sports re- porter Jay Glazer; magicians Penn and Teller; Olympians Tara Lipinski and Johnny Weir; comedian Cheech Marin; musician Brett Mi- chaels; actress Alyssa Milano ("Charmed"); filmmaker Kev- in Smith ("Comic Book Men") and more. "It's the best dinner party you've ever been to — filled with food, booze, off-the-hook games and the funkiest live soundtrack around," Fieri said in a statement. Meanwhile, Jane Latman, president of home and food content and streaming at War- ner Bros. Discovery, added, "'Guy's Ultimate Game Night' is a culinary game show unlike any other. Audiences will love playing along at home, trying to guess the answers, and will pick up new food facts, too. We get to join the party and enjoy the hilarious games led by the game master himself, Guy Fieri."
