Join them for an evening of inspiration. Framed and unframed prints will be for sale in limited quantities. In addition, there will be music by DJ Liek and a live performance from Testimony. Hors d'oeuvres will be pro- vided by Heavenly Eats Catering. The event starts at 6:30 p.m. AUGUST 5 - 7 SUMMER PLAYFEST GILBERT THEATER See a collection of four plays all in one night! These plays are created by local playwrights, directors, actors and stage crew. The plays are "Stranglehold," "Addition with Guns," "Empty Room Theory part I" and "Death of a Super- nova." CAPE FEAR REGIONAL THEATRE The classic story tells of Belle, a young woman in a provincial town, and the Beast, who is really a young prince trapped under the spell of an enchantress. If the Beast can learn to love and be loved, the curse will end, and he will be transformed into his former self. This play will be per- formed by the middle school summer camp. Show times are at 2 p.m. and 5 p.m. AUGUST 12 FAYETTEVILLE AFTER FIVE FESTIVAL PARK Join the Fayetteville Dogwood Fes- tival in Festival Park for the final Fayetteville After Five summer con- cert of the summer. This event is free and open to the public. The park opens at 5 p.m. 10 O'Clock High will perform at 6 p.m. Zoso — The Ultimate Led Zeppelin Experience will begin at 8 p.m. There will also be a full lineup of food trucks surround- ing Festival Park. That lineup includes Ah Yanna's Italian Ice, Big Erves, Big Red Food Truck, Creech's O'Taste & Sea, Drizzle D's Donuts and Kwon's Kitchen Korean Fusion Cuisine. GO-GO BBQ FESTIVAL FESTIVAL PARK The North Carolina GO-GO BBQ Festival is coming to Fayetteville. Gates open at 2 p.m. and show time starts at 3 p.m. Live performances will be given by Black Alley, Blacc Print, Suttle, Jus Once Band, DJ Slice, vocalist- Trayvion and Khioken. Comedian Antoine Scott will also be performing. Tickets range from $20 to $55 and can be bought at https://bit.ly/3OtdCAf. AUGUST 13 WOUNDED WARRIOR GALA IRON MIKE CONFERENCE CENTER The Wounded Warrior Fundraiser Gala will be an elegant event featur- ing the hottest female-led live band in the Carolinas, #Epitome Band! Dress up in your best semi-formal or formal wear. There will be live music, a delicious buffet and a cash bar inside the Iron Mike Conference center on Fort Bragg. A portion of all proceeds will go to the Wounded Warrior Project to help change the lives of over 1 million injured war- riors, caregivers and family members. AUGUST 13 AUGUST 10 BACK TO SCHOOL FAMILY FUN DAY RICK'S PLACE Service members, veterans and fam- ily members are welcome to join Rick's Place at their first Annual Back to School Family Fun Day. School supplies, food, games and fun, will be given out for free. The event starts at 10 a.m. and ends at 2 p.m. Registration is required and can be found at https://bit.ly/3IU9W9q. FOREVER YOUNG — ADULT PROM VOLTA SPACE Come to this local prom for those of you who are 30 years old and older but still young at heart. There will be a live DJ, a full bar, a photo suite and a prom king and queen will be crowned and awarded. Tickets are $25 for singles and $50 for couples. Doors open at 9 p.m. AUGUST 13 AUGUST 11 ART WITH MARK 325 BLOUNT STREET The Downtown Market of Fayetteville is excited to bring back Art with Mark to the store. Mark is their original milk- man and a great local artist. This will be a beginner's class to learn basic techniques and have fun. The class includes canvas and paints, non-alcoholic and specialty-themed honey adult beverages from Beehive Yourself, a grazing table made by Beehive Yourself with local goodies for dinner, two hours of fun, and education and bonding time. The event is $65 per person. AUGUST 19 Come join the Fayetteville Symphony Orchestra for their Season Kickoff Party at Gaston Taproom. This will be the first Symphony on Tap event of this season.
