At 9 years old, Seth wished to help the homeless and hungry. Seth's Wish works to make this wish come true every day. The organization provides hot meals, grocery and snack bags, clothing, hygiene items and other essentials needed for survival. Cookout in the Garden is a free event for everyone. The event will gather the community together from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. to enjoy a day in the garden at Seth's Wish. There will be food, music and activities. JULY 4 OPERATION HALYARD AIRBORNE & SPECIAL OPERATIONS MUSEUM Operation Halyard is a unique exhibi- tion highlighting the heroic mission to rescue downed U.S. Airmen from Nazi-occupied Serbia during the waning months of World War II. Operation HALYARD was the largest and most successful rescue mission of Ameri- can aircrews in our nation's history. Learn how between August through December 1944, a three-man Office of Strategic Services team, Serbian anti-fascist/anti-communist partisans, known as "Chetniks," and the 1st Air Crew Rescue Unit of the U.S. 15th Air Force, airlifted more than 500 U.S. Airmen out of Serbia. Operation HALYARD: The Greatest Rescue Mission of World War II is on loan from the Halyard Mission Foundation and will be displayed in the U.S Army Airborne and Special Operations Museum lobby from July 4 through November 13. JULY 5 – JULY 6 PAW PATROL CROWN THEATRE Ryder and everyone's favorite pups have been working hard to get back on the road and are ready to roll to Fayetteville. In this production, the heroic pups from the top-rated animated preschool series "PAW Patrol" embark on a pirate-themed adventure to uncover hidden treasure. In PAW Patrol Live! "The Great Pirate Adventure," Mayor Goodway is getting everything shipshape for a big Pirate Day celebration in Adventure Bay. When Cap'n Turbot falls into a dark and mysterious cavern, it's PAW Pa- trol to the rescue! Chase, Marshall, Rubble, Skye, Rocky and Zuma save Cap'n Turbot and discover a secret pirate treasure map that leads them on an epic adventure. Things get ruff when Mayor Humdinger wants to find the treasure first for Foggy Bottom. The pups set sail to save the day us- ing their heroic rescue skills, problem-solving and teamwork. No job is too big; no pirate pup is too small. This interactive live stage show encourages audiences to learn pirate catchphrases, dance the pirate boogie and help the pups follow the treasure map and solve picture puzzles throughout their mission. Join the Fayetteville Running Club for their ninth annual Firecracker 4 Miler. The course is designed as a historic tour of downtown Fayetteville. Competi- tive runners, recreational runners, walkers, kids, strollers and dogs are all invited, and the event is timed. Parking is available at the large parking lot adjacent to the start line. JULY 5 HISTORY TO-GO MUSEUM OF THE CAPE FEAR The Museum of the Cape Fear Histori- cal Complex is offering free "History To- Go" take-home craft kits. Each month brings a new theme to learn more about the people and places of North Carolina. The take-home kits contain a craft, fun history facts, activities and more. Kits are available on the first Tuesday of each month. Quantities are limited. The kits are designed for children ages 6 to 12, with a limit of two kits per family. SHOPS N' HOPS GASTON BREWING TAPROOM Join Gaston Brewing for a night out at their evening Shops N' Hops event. The lineup will include live music under a newly reno- vated pavilion by local North Carolina artists, Krispee Biscuits. There will be multiple raffle drawings throughout the evening to win prizes sponsored by local Fayetteville businesses; all raffle proceeds will be donated to the Fayetteville Animal Protection Society.
