Join the celebration with live music and various local entertainment. Bring the fam- ily and enjoy the fenced dog park, playground, food trucks, drinks, music and good times! This event is free and open to the public. JUNE 16 - JUNE 19 JUNETEENTH CARNIVAL 1111 N. BRAGG BLVD. The Juneteenth Carnival is the backdrop to the entire 2022 festival experience. Join the fun and experience Spring Lake's main Juneteenth attraction. The carnival will provide great enter- tainment, food trucks, rides and special attractions and fun for the entire family. Tickets for rides and attractions will be available for purchase. NERD MARKET DOWNTOWN FAYETTEVILLE The Cool Spring Downtown District is excited to host the annual Nerd Market during the Juneteenth Jubilee. The Nerd Market will be a place where you can find DC and Marvel memorabilia, artists selling their work and so much more. This is a family-friendly event. Adults and kids of all ages are invited to partici- pate in the fun. Shop and support your local nerd/comic con commu- nity! This is a free event for the public. JUNE 18 JUNE 18 JUNETEENTH JUBILEE FESTIVAL PARK Cool Spring Downtown District and Circa 1865 have organized and curated the inaugural Juneteenth Jubilee and Praise Party in the Park. The Juneteenth Jubilee will kick off in the heart of downtown with a full-day street festival featuring multiple nationally touring headliners, local musical acts, other performances, food trucks, small- business and corporate vendors, artists and artisans and more. JUNETEENTH 5K DOWNTOWN FAYETTEVILLE Come and run the downtown area of Fayetteville and celebrate June- teenth! This run will be a flat and fast 5k route weaving throughout the historic parts of the beautiful downtown area. Come back after your run and enjoy the day and the festivities. JUNE 18 JUNE 17 JUNETEENTH GOLF TOURNALMENT STRYKER GOLF COURSE The Freedom on the Fairway June- teenth Golf Tournament will be held at Stryker Golf Course on Fort Bragg. This is an open tournament for individuals or teams. In addition to meeting peo- ple from all across the country, there will also be raffles, hole prizes, an awards ceremony for top players, giveaways, a four-person scramble and a networking hour. Registration begins at 11 a.m.; a Shotgun Start kicks off at noon. The cost is $60 per player with a handicap. The price includes a bucket of range balls for driving or putting range, golf, lunch and prizes. 6 P.M. – 10 P.M. 8 A.M. NOON – 9 P.M. 11 A.M. – 5 P.M. NOON – 10 P.M. NOON – 9 P.M. JUBILEE HERITAGE BRUNCH STUDIO 215 Cool Spring Downtown District, in partnership with the Juneteenth Free- dom Festival, will host the Juneteenth Jubilee Heritage Brunch. The event will feature a full brunch menu catered by The Friends Table, including Mimosa and Bloody Mary cash bar, light musical entertainment from the Fayetteville Symphony Orchestra, and a keynote address from North Carolina Poet Laure- ate Jaki Shelton Green. The event will be held at Studio 215, located at 215 Williams St. Doors will open at 9:45 a.m. for check-in. Tickets for a lite brunch (brunch box) are $25. JUNE 19 10 A.M. – 12:30 P.M. JUNE 18 DEBONAIRE DAD WALK MAZARICK PARK The Debonaire Dad Walk and Father's Day Footraces will roll into Juneteenth in the Park. This is a two-part day, and the Dad Walk will run from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. with a pizza party and foot races in the park until 2:30 p.m. to 3 p.m. Then kick off the Juneteenth in the Park at Mazarick Friends & Family Reunion. Bring lawn chairs or blankets and have some fun. See page 23 for additional information. 10:30 A.M. – 8 P.M. PRAISE PARTY IN THE PARK FESTIVAL PARK Praise Party in the Park is a free event hosted by Magic 106.9's Alysse Stewart, with headliner, three-time Grammy award-winning Gospel singer and songwriter Donnie Mc- Clurkin ending the evening. Also appearing on the stage will be Fayetteville Mayor Mitch Colvin, First Missionary Baptist Church's Pas- tor Joshua Haire as the Juneteenth Key Note Speaker, Senator Kirk DeViere, First Missionary Baptist Church Gospel Choir, Fayetteville's 2021 NC Mother of the Year, Pastor Demetria Davis, Ms. B Spoken Word, Expressions Of God Dance Ministry, Christ Worship Center Church Mime team, Zawadi African Dance & Drum team, Simon Temple AME Zion Gospel Choir & Praise Team, Nikki Giovanni Wor- ship, True Vine at Methodist University Gospel Choir and Mix Master, DJ Cass from Magic 106.9.
