The studio will have original art in various mediums: oil, acrylic and watercolor paintings; hand-crafted wood art; hand-crafted jewelry, members' signature pottery pieces, glass artworks and drawings in mixed mediums. This year, members celebrate over 32 years of bringing art to the community. THURSDAY, JUNE 9 ROSES & MUSIC IN THE GARDEN FAYETTEVILLE ROSE GARDEN 6 p.m. – 8 p.m. Visit the Fayetteville Rose Garden at peak bloom and enjoy live music by the fountain. Established in the early 1970s at Fayetteville Technical Community College, this garden features more than 1,000 rose bushes and participates in the All-American Selection. Enjoy the beautiful gazebo, fountains and flora. Bring your picnic basket and chairs. Members of the Fayetteville Rose Society will be on hand to answer questions about the garden. Organizers ask that attendees not bring alcohol. This event is free and open to the public. FRIDAY, JUNE 10 DENIM & DIAMONDS GALA THE CAROLINA BARN 6 p.m. – 10 p.m. Special Forces Charitable Trust invites you to the first annual Denim & Diamonds Gala. This high-energy, jeans-preferred affair brings together philanthropists, patriots and purpose-driven partiers, ready for fun that funds an amazing mission. Tickets include dinner, open bar with beer and wine, live music, dancing, a silent auction, a raffle and more. Tickets are $65 in advance and $75 at the door. SFCT is all about families. However, Denim & Diamonds is for mature audiences only. Please, no pets or children at this event. The Carolina Barn is located at 77565 McCormick Bridge Road, Spring Lake. TIM KENNEDY BOOK SIGNING AIRBORNE AND SPECIAL OPERATIONS MUSEUM 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. Tim Kennedy, Green Beret and former UFC fighter and author of the book, "Scars and Stripes: An Unapologetically American Story of Fighting the Taliban, UFC Warriors, and Myself," will sign books at the Airborne and Special Operations Museum. The book is on sale in the Museum Store and proceeds help fund the educational mission of the U.S. Army Airborne and Special Operations Museum. A NIGHT WITH THE STARS DIRTY WHISKEY CRAFT COCKTAIL BAR 7 p.m. – 10 p.m. A Night with the Stars will be a cinematic experience disguised as an outdoor white lounge party! Guests will sip wine under the stars while they view "stars" in films created/directed by Michele Falls, "Experiences of Black Women in Cumberland County," Alason Little's "I'm A Star," and Nattalyee Randall's "The Race Against Race" on a large movie screen! Book Black Women will roll out the red car- pet and showcase Black female film creators/directors during this event. Dirty Whiskey Craft Cocktail Bar is located at 5431 Corporation Drive. SATURDAY, JUNE 11 FRIDAY, JUNE 10 DINOSAUR WORLD SWEET VALLEY RANCH 10 a.m. – 8 p.m. The Dinosaur World attraction has activi- ties for the entire family. With more than 40 animatronics, a fossil museum, Ice Age animals, a caveman exhibit, guests can take in the sights and sounds of the fo- rest as they are transported to a time when dinosaurs ruled the land. Visitors can ride a dinosaur, drive go-karts or ATVs and study fossils. Younger visitors can enjoy the bouncy castles and get up close and personal with reptiles that evolved from the original dinosaurs. Guests can also opt for a traditional farm tour and meet other furry and feathered friends, such as llamas, rabbits and peacocks. Visit www.sweetvalleyranchnc.com/dinosaur-world for more information. 11 a.m. – 5 p.m. SATURDAY, JUNE 11 FRIDAY, JUNE 10 FAYETTEVILLE AFTER FIVE FESTIVAL PARK 5 p.m. – 11 p.m. Join the Fayetteville Dogwood Festival in Festival Park for the first Fayetteville After Five summer concert. This is a free event and is open to the public. The park will open at 5 p.m. At 6 p.m., the Southern Haze Band will take the stage. At 8 p.m., On The Border — The Ultimate Eagles Tribute will begin their set. The food truck line-up includes Alamo Snow, Flava- palooza, Steel Smoking BBQ and Scotty's All American Food Truck. Organizers ask that there be no soliciting, weapons, pets (service animals only), coolers, outside food/beverages, canopies or profanity/inappropriate behavior. CITY MARKET FAYETTEVILLE HISTORY MUSEUM 9 a.m. – 1 p.m. This year-round, open-air market features local produce and artisans. Typical offer- ings include teas, pottery, candles, jewelry, custom designs, coffee, music and more. The market is held on the grounds of the Fayetteville History Museum. From Native American trails to steamboats and trains, the museum offers the opportunity to explore the importance of the early trade communities of Cross Creek and Campbellton. The museum outlines the development of the plank road system that connected Fayetteville to other towns throughout North Carolina. SATURDAY, JUNE 11 .
