ALL RIGHTS RESERVED. 8 Fraternity Board of Regents, need to reassess the funding priorities for a campaign to make the stated objectives consistent with a $10 million goal that will raise $2 to $3 million cash, $5 to $7 million in estate gifts, and $1.5 to $2 million in unrestricted annual gifts over a five-year period. Additional programs can be considered if the "quiet phase" fundraising efforts yield better-than-anticipated success. C. CONTINUE CULTIVATING, EDUCATING, AND COMMUNICATING WITH THE FOUNDATION'S MAJOR DONOR PROSPECTS A crucial component of this campaign will be to further develop relationships with many of the identified major donor prospects and encourage them to make Delta Chi a philanthropic priority. Cultivation efforts must now be expanded to include participation by the Foundation Executive Committee and Directors, Fraternity Executive Committee and Board of Regents, and Fraternity staff—not just Foundation staff. D. ENSURE DELTA CHI'S INVESTMENT IN THE HERITAGE SOCIETY BY PRIORITIZING STEWARDSHIP OF THE ALUMNUS AND THEIR PARTNER FOR EXISTING COMMITMENTS AND CONTINUE SOLICITING DONORS FOR THIS PROGRAM Delta Chi's planned giving program, the Heritage Society, is composed of 32 members as of March 2022. Educational Foundation staff reported that 25% of these members do not yet have formal documentation for their planned gift. An effort should be made to confirm these intentions and quantify amounts with the remaining society members throughout the campaign while also recruiting new members to the program. Additionally, Delta Chi needs to formalize a stewardship strategy to engage the alumnus and his partner to express gratitude for their investment and to provide assurances that the Fraternity is making a difference in the lives of students today to ensure gifts are fulfilled. E. DEVELOP A STEWARDSHIP PROGRAM FOR THE OFFICIAL FAMILY Many alumni perceive those within the Official Family (current and past volunteers, staff, and dignitaries) to be the most connected and engaged alumni.
