The entrepreneur/Kardashi- an bestie formerly known as Jon- athan Cheban has always been a huge fan of extravagant cuisine and boasts of dining out "365 days a year." Through a mix of business ventures, reality TV appearances and social media efforts (especially on Insta- gram), he's been steadily build- ing his brand as a celebrity culi- nary authority over the years and legally changed his name to Foodgod (a moniker reportedly given to him by Kanye West) in 2019. November 2021 marked the beginning of a new chapter in the food influencer's story — that's when his eponymous four- episode series first landed on discovery+. And "Foodgod" could potentially reach a bigger audience this week, as its first two episodes slide into Food Network's daytime lineup on Tuesday, March 29. In an interview with Us Week- ly, Foodgod described his show as a "travel/food/social media show" that showcases over-the- top food experiences, following Foodgod as he travels to a differ- ent city and dines with a celebri- ty pal (or two, or three). In the first episode, Foodgod heads to New Jersey to sample pizza pies at Tony Boloney's with rapper Fat Joe, and pickle sandwiches at Peace Love and Pickles. With family in tow, the dish deity later heads to the Big Apple and The Cauldron, where he celebrates a birthday with smoke-filled cocktails. After sampling the latest Korean hot dog craze at Oh K-Dog in the East Village, Foodgod then joins "Gossip Girl" actress Savannah Lee Smith at Hutaoli in Midtown for some fried chicken served in a cage. Kardashian matriarch/execu- tive producer Kris Jenner is be- hind this limited series, too, and she makes an appearance in the second episode, airing March 29. Back in L.A., Foodgod joins Jenner for a throwback '50s din- er experience at Frisco's, in Whittier, California. After enjoy- ing some classic burgers and hand-blended milkshakes (and roller skating), Foodgod surpris- es Kim Kardashian at home with an over-the-top cotton candy ex- perience from Polar Playground. Next up, Foodgod and the world's tallest supermodel head to San Pedro Fish Market to try its monumental seafood trays, before diving into L.A.'s creative coffee culture at Coffee Attic and Matte Black.
