I
have never been very good at waiting,
especially when I know that the end result
will be wonderful. That is how we feel
about the Phi Mu house project right now. Every
month brings us closer to completion, and the
ladies get more and more excited. We hope you
as alumnae share in their excitement. As I write
this in January, I am anticipating a wonderful
future for Phi Mu on the Ole Miss campus.
Even with the rise of COVID in recent weeks,
we are thoughtfully moving ahead in 2022. The
women will resume Chapter meetings in the
old Chapter room in February. April will bring
our philanthropy event and a brunch for Parents
Weekend complete with a guided peek of the
renovation about 80% complete. Recruitment in
August will see a completely renovated house
we can be proud of and enjoy. September will
host an invitation for an official ALUMNAE
WEEKEND … we will gather and celebrate our
new space!
We offer our thanks for our wonderful staff.
We have been able to keep our dining service
during the renovation—a big plus for all. We
have been able to keep our staff safe while doing
this; Gracie, Willie, Denise, and Deloris have
collectively worked 135 years at the Phi Mu
house. We will celebrate them also in September.
Our members are anticipating a beautiful new
house, and we as Phi Mu sisters cannot wait to
uplift and support their enthusiasm. We are ready
to be HΦME.
