FSPAC ATLANTA RECEPTION 2021 the Fraternity and Sorority Preserving the Greek experience for future 2 O ur founders and your chapter's alumni created the opportunity for you to experience a fraternal connection that provided you with a chance to become part of something so much bigger than yourself. Since the moment you were initiated, you've shared successes and hardships, given and received support, and learned and taught valuable lessons—all because of the lifelong friendships you created within your organizations. As we burst into the last quarter of 2021, never has there been a more defining moment for us to come together and rally our donor base. The anti-Greek life sentiment is increasing as a social movement, primarily fueled by anonymous postings on social media platforms. The movement seeks to eradicate the presence of interfraternal spaces on college campuses—and in some places, they are succeeding. Our recent FSPAC receptions in San Diego and Atlanta showed us there is a strong interest in defending and gaining rights for fraternity and sorority men and women. Through the FSPAC, our students and alumni speak, and gain the ability to speak, with a united voice so they can better influence the political process as a group rather than as individuals. There truly is "power in numbers." Our greatest challenge is awareness, and telling our story to our friends, family, and brothers and sisters of our respective organizations is vital. When the story IS told of the challenges we face, people are inspired to sign up, give, and register to help. THIS is where you are needed! Won't you reach out, grab a member or a friend, and ask them to support the future of fraternal organizations? If we all commit to going out and intentionally telling our story to bring in just five new people as donors, the FSPAC base would be substantially increased. If you dismiss this plea, we can expect to see continued threats to our single-sex status, due process, and freedom of association rights. Just like the men and women before you who paved the way for your fraternity and sorority experience, it is now your turn to help build a bridge to the future for other worthy men and women. The challenge is real. The time is now. The opportunity to make a difference is before you. Let's rally our groups and make this a more impressive, record- breaking fourth quarter than last year. Fraternally, Mike Greenberg, ΣΧ VP Fundraising Fraternity and Sorority Political Action Committee Working to Preserve our values Help FSPAC Top Last Year's Fourth Quarter!
