November 28 - December 4, 2021 WHATS UP! T5 Sunday The Great North (24) KFTA 7:30 p.m. J.K. Simmons guest stars in this new episode of the hit animated series for adults. As former ce- lebrity mountain man Tusk Joh- nson (Simmons) returns to Lone Moose with a favor to ask of the Tobins, Honeybee tries to win her own mall kiosk in a contest. Insecure HBO 9 p.m. Issa Rae, Yvonne Orji and Jay El- lis return to star in a new epi- sode from this hit show's fifth and final season. Vastly different in nearly every way, best friends Issa (Rae) and Molly (Orji) bal- ance their relationships and work lives in Los Angeles. Monday Charlie and the Chocolate Factory AMC 3:30 p.m. An evening double-dipped in chocolate begins as Johnny Depp takes on the role of Willy Wonka, the famed candy maker who holds a contest to visit his mystical chocolate factory, in this remake. The 1971 classic, starring Gene Wilder, airs next. That's My Jam (51) KNWA 9 p.m. Jimmy Fallon hosts this brand- new series premiere in which two teams of celebrities com- pete across various music, dance and trivia-based games. The series kicks off with "The Voice" coaches Ariana Grande, Blake Shelton, Kelly Clarkson and John Legend. Tuesday Snow Day AMC 5 p.m. When a record snowfall shuts down the schools, a group of kids from upstate New York face off against a snow plow driver (Chris Elliot) in an effort to have more school-free days of wintery bliss. Chevy Chase and Josh Peck also star in this holiday film. Our Kind of People (24) KFTA 8 p.m. Yaya DaCosta stars in this new series about a single mother setting out to change the world. Reclaiming her family's name and starting her own business, she begins a haircare line that highlights the natural strength and beauty of Black women. Wednesday We're the Millers TNT 4:30 p.m. Jason Sudeikis stars as a small- time drug dealer who winds up in big-time trouble in this com- edy. To smuggle drugs out of Mexico, he rents an RV and hires a family to go along with it. Jennifer Aniston, Emma Rob- erts and Will Poulter also star. National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation AMC 9 p.m. Clark Griswold (Chevy Chase) and his wacky family indulge in some holiday antics in this clas- sic film. Numerous dysfunction- al relatives descend on the Gris- wolds during Christmas, but Clark and his clan eventually come together in the spirit of the season. Thursday Olaf's Frozen Adventure (29) KHOG (40) KHBS 7 p.m. When Anna and Elsa realize they don't have any family holiday traditions, Olaf tries to help out in this animated holiday special based on the hit film "Frozen." He and Sven the reindeer set out to comb the kingdom for the best holiday traditions. Walker (29.2) (40.2) CW 7 p.m. Widower and father of two Cordell Walker (Jared Padal- ecki) helps to keep Texas safe in this new episode from the re- boot of the '90s Chuck Norris- led series "Walker, Texas Ranger." Returning to Austin after two years undercover, Walker has some work to do. Friday Angels and Demons SYFY 2 p.m. Tom Hanks stars as Professor Robert Langdon, a man on a mission to take back a vial of antimatter from Illuminati terror- ists in this thriller. From director Ron Howard, this sequel to "The Da Vinci Code" also stars Ayelet Zurer and Ewan McGregor. Eight Gifts of Hanukkah HALL 7 p.m. Inbar Lavi stars in this premier- ing holiday romance as Sara, an optometrist who is on the re- ceiving end of a Hanukkah gift for each of the holiday's eight days. As she searches for her ad- mirer, she finds something she never expected. Jake Epstein stars. Saturday The Christmas Setup LIFE 10 a.m. When a lawyer travels home for the holidays, he finds out that his sneaky match-making sister has arranged a meeting between him and the high- school friend he had a secret crush on. Ben Lewis, Blake Lee and Fran Drescher star in this holiday romance. Fred Claus AMC 1:30 p.m. When Santa's (Paul Giamatti) brother, Fred (Vince Vaughn), ends up in jail, Santa bails him out and brings him home to the North Pole. Tragedy strikes when Santa sustains an injury and it's now up to Fred to save Christmas in this family-friendly comedy. It's a Wonderful Life (51) KNWA 7 p.m. This Christmas classic follows George Bailey (James Stew- art), a down-on-his-luck banker who wishes he'd never been born. When a guardian angel shows him what the world would be like without him, he begins to see the good in his life. Donna Reed co-stars. BEST BETS (29) KHOG (40) KHBS 8 p.m. The Great Christmas Light Fight Back-to-back episodes of this festive ABC series' new season help get families in the holiday spirit on Sunday, Nov. 28. Once again hosted by carpenter Carter Oosterhouse and in- terior designer Taniya Nayak, "The Great Christmas Light Fight" sees people compete to have the best display of holi- day lights.
