T
hroughout the last year, there have been
quite a few terrific updates and additions to
Pi Deuteron of Phi Gamma Delta.
Cosmetically, there have been some serious
enhancements. As far as the patio, the outside
bar has been completely revamped with a
giant FIJI sign hung above everything. The
patio furniture has been totally refinished and
restrained, and a wooden pergola structure hung
with lights and a heater has been set up on the
far side. These additions will make it a great
event venue year-round.
The basement also underwent serious
renovation. A multi-layer wooden stage with
LED lights and a plethora of new barstools and
tables, as well as a women's restroom, were
added to host gatherings and accommodate
guests more effectively.
On top of all the aesthetic upgrades to the
Chapter House, there have been many successes
within the house as well. Although COVID-
19 limited our abilities to host philanthropic
events, we were able to hold one extremely
successful event at Fat Shack, raising money
for the United Services Organizations (USO).
In terms of academics, our Chapter GPA rose
from a 3.37 last spring to a 3.45 so far this fall,
revealing an increase in GPA for every pledge
class. With this and continuous growth, we
stand as one of the leading fraternities in terms
of GPA at the University of Kansas.
We appreciate all our Graduate Brothers
for their continued support. You help make
improvements like these possible!
