Undergraduates Find Ways to Give Back and Stay Involved During Unusual Times D espite limitations due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Alpha Chi Chapter of Phi Kappa Tau excelled in many areas. Several members took on leadership positions with a non-profit organization called Camp Kesem: Jacob Shaver '17, Jared Kimes '17, Michael Blanchard '18, Matthew Prater '19, and Ethan Hariel '20. Our fall philanthropy was a raffle, and we raised $3,018 for Serious Fun. Corey Krumery '20 is coordinating a service event at the Clay County Animal Shelter in West Point, Mississippi, and plans on having at least one more service event before the semester ends. Recruitment did not go as well as we hoped, but we still recruited three associate members for spring 2021. We have only held brotherhood events and have been unable to do anything else up until recently. We are planning a few date parties, as well as our philanthropy event for the spring. Most recently, our ultimate frisbee team made it to the Greek intramural semi-finals but lost to BYX. Blake Giles '17 is representing our chapter in intramural ping pong and has made it to the semi-finals. Fraternally, Michael Blanchard '18 Chapter President mblanchardCOD@gmail.com Glendon A.
